I’m passionate about creating respectful spaces for listening, allowing authentic stories to emerge. I make content to connect, expand perspectives and move audiences meaningfully.

Julia’s first documentary about a funeral home was awarded First Class Honours at university, and after a couple of years in fiction at iconic Australian TV series Neighbours (FremantleMedia), Julia returned to factual with Matchbox Pictures series Sex an Unnatural History and international feature Viramundo with Dreampixies Switzerland, before becoming Co-Head of Production at Digital Storytellers, a B-Corp social enterprise agency.

Now an independent producer with Pigeon Nest, Julia has produced more than 50 factual impact shorts and facilitated storytelling programs for clients including First Nations communities in Australia, The Social Enterprise World forum in Ethiopia, and the Centre for Gross National Happiness in Bhutan. She is fluent in German and French and brings a particular interest and quality in working with diverse stories and communities.
